AANEA History

Autism Association of Northeast Arkansas, Inc. (AANEA) was formed in 2006 by a group of parents, educators and professionals to address the needs faced by families of someone diagnosed as having an autism spectrum disorder. Coverage area.
AANEA, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization whose mission is to promote education and awareness of autism spectrum disorders in Northeast Arkansas and the surrounding communities. The association offers support groups, trainings, and conferences to anyone interested. Stipend and grant programs are also available to send local families to conferences that are offered outside Northeast Arkansas and for other quailifying services with which families might need assistance.    Stipend form

Our Mission.

AANEA, Inc.'s goal is to promote education and awareness of autism spectrum disorders in our communities and to support families affected by an autism spectrum disorder.
To maintain the goals the AANEA conducts a major fund raiser during April, which is Autism Awareness Month. Each year, AANEA hosts the Autism Awareness Weekend that consists of events such as a golf tournament and dinner, a silent auction, the Autism Awareness Walk and an annual Conference on Autism which features various nationally known and recognized speakers in the fields of autism research and behavior.
