What is Autism

Autism is a complex neurobiological disorder that typically lasts throughout a persons lifetime. It is part of a group of disorders known as autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Today, 1 in 150 individuals is diagnosed with autism, making it more common than pediatric cancer, diabetes, and AIDS combined. The Autism Acceptance Book - Being a Friend to Someone with Autism

The Autism Association of Northeast Arkansas purchased 100 copies of the book titled, The Autism Acceptance Book - Being a Friend to Someone with Autism. AANEA donated a copy to every public school elememtary and intermediate library that requested one while supplies lasted as a way to promote Autism awareness and education throughout Northeast Arkansas.

The AANEA Lending Library

The Autism Association of Northeast Arkansas maintains a lending library at the offices located at 1702 Stone Street in Jonesboro. Anyone wishing to borrow a book from our library is welcome to contact us at    info@aanea.org
